My major project in graphic design focused on fast fashion.
I decided to make a two-part infographic series that focuses on fast fashion's environmental and social impacts. I felt as though this was the best format as it effectively communicates complex information in a quick and accessible way. Using a minimalist layout design, both posters convey this information through statistics and illustrative visuals. The illustrations mirror the needle and thread within the titles, being one line drawings, I felt it replicated how, when sewing, you stay on one path. It also shows how traditional craftsmanship has been lost within mass production.
The aim of this project is to inform and inspire others to think more critically about what they are buying and the cost beyond the price tag.
